New Horizons series
Thames & Hudson, 1992–98
• As Project Manager, I developed the highly successful, multi-volume New Horizons series from its launch in 1992, liaising with the American copublisher, Harry N. Abrams, Inc., New York, and the French originating publisher, Gallimard, Paris.
• From 1992 to 1998 I was responsible for many of the 100 titles, mainly translations from the French, published to tight deadlines. I supervised book projects through from receipt of translation to finished copies, including the work of other editors and translators, as well as copy-editing and proofreading individual titles.
• This range of lavishly illustrated, pocket-sized, low-cost paperbacks covers all areas of human knowledge and experience, with subjects as diverse as ancient history, archaeology, architecture, art, cinema, exploration, heraldry, history, literature, natural history, photography and weather.
