Kazimir Malevich
Tate Publishing with the Malevich Society, New York, 2014

It was a challenging task to copy-edit and proofread these two volumes – over 400,000 words each – with the numerous Russian names. A 38-page style sheet helped.

This special set of two hardback books, the English edition of Malevich’s correspondence and writings, is the product of ten years’ work by two renowned Russian scholars. These volumes (Volume 1: 584pp; Volume 2: 680pp) explore the complex personal life and creativity of this pioneer of modern abstract art during one of the most turbulent periods of Russian history.

‘Many thanks for your wonderful work and meticulous editing. I am in awe as I painstakingly go through it all’ – Caroline Brooke Johnson, Copy-editor, 2014
